Annual Humanitarian Missions Trip April 2010 We are looking forward to our annual humanitarian missions trip slated for April of 2010. Each year we invite a small team of people who have never been on an international humanitarian trip and offer them an experience of a lifetime. This year will be no exception, as we are taking a team to the African nations of Uganda and Ethiopia. Over the course of several weeks leading up to the trip, Dr. Lopez and his international contacts share vision of what international humanitarian trips are all about and what they'll experience. We raise tens of thousands of dollars to sow into projects in the local region where we'll visit, and when we arrive we meet with everyone from kids in the orphanages to Presidents of nations. Last year we raised over $60,000 to build a children's wing for a hospital in Uganda and also provided much needed tin roofs, desks, and soccer balls for war torn schools in Burundi. In April of 2008 Tribal Praise Ministries Founder Dr. Juan Lopez took a team of seven businessmen from various aspects of the marketplace; a professional football player from the New York Jets organization, an accountant and web designer from Dallas, TX, two film producers from New York, the Chaplain from the Oakland Raiders football organization; and a mortgage industry businessman from Orange County, Ca. One of the primary goals from our annual humanitarian missions trip is that there would be a sense of awakening to a greater purpose within each team member as they experience to a small degree what every day life is in third world countries. One of the team members most impacted by last year's trip was Orange County businessman Gilbert Antolin, who came back from the trip with a changed perspective on life and purpose. So much so was Mr. Antolin impacted from the trip that he formed a "green" company called Gleen Clean Inc. Sharing the vision of his newly formed company, Gil states, "Gleen Clean Inc. is dedicated to making the world a cleaner, healthier and more socially responsible place. We are also dedicated to assisting those less fortunate, that live in poverty stricken circumstances all over the world. A portion of all of our proceeds is donated to causes and projects that help individuals receive the basic necessities of life such as clean water. We hear a lot about the 'Global Water Shortage' but the fact of nature is this: There isn’t always a shortage of water given, just a shortage of water harvested. During my two week visit there, it rained extremely hard every day for a few hours. I was shocked to see there was a lack of clean water, and yet the streets were continually flooded. I knew there had to be a inexpensive solution to this problem.” If you would like to donate to our humanitarian missions trip, please note that all donations are tax deductible and we will send you a receipt with our 501(c)(3) tax ID # for your tax purposes. Please feel free to contact us @ (760)403-3600 or you may contact us by mail at: Tribal Praise Ministries 1920 S. Watson St. La Habra, Ca. 90631 Thank you and we look forward to partnering with you in our efforts to make a difference, and we believe you are called to make a difference as well...one nation at a time! |
